10 things to do to be productive

I find myself all the time thinking about something new to do. I love to take advantage of my time. You may think I'm obsessive about it, but no! I enjoy quiet times in nature too! I also meditate and journal. These may not be so "productive" from our modern understanding of the word, but they are unimaginably beneficial on many levels.
In this article, I'll share 10 things you can do to be Productive, and I promise, the list doesn't include "Climb a mountain" or "Learn a new language" Haha

1. Schedule your day

I know what you are thinking, the list is already boring. But before you move to the next article let me tell you why this is important.
Planning your daily tasks takes only 1 to 2 minutes, but it guarantees you will ace your goals quite easily. That's what we call working smart not hard :)

Make enough time for every task you have. Work. Meals. Exercise. Time with family or friends (better: both). Fun time. Sleep... etc
Use a small piece of paper. Put every task with a small square beside it so you can check it when you are done! The best feeling ever.

2. Watch a TED Talk

We approve of what may appear to be the responsible person's method of procrastination because TED Talks are undoubtedly better for your brain than anything currently available on Netflix.

Additionally, there are numerous TED videos. Really, a lot. Look for the mini-lectures that touch on your passions, occupation, relationships, or interests. Everyone around you notices when you start spending time working on aspects of yourself that need improvement. which is a pretty lovely thing. It makes sense to start by taking those first steps while being guided by some of TED's top educators.

3. Clean up your computer (and email too!)

I realize it can be difficult, but you need to delete all the additional files you've been keeping. You can divide the material in your files into smaller, more manageable chunks.
Sort all the files into categories based on their types and place them in related folders to make future access much simpler.

You should do the same with your email. Go through your emails and archive, delete, or snooze the messages you have! you know exactly how to do that.

4. Meditate

Try meditation if stress is causing you to feel tense, worried, or anxious. Even a brief period of meditation can help you regain your composure and inner peace.
Meditation is accessible to everyone. It is easy and reasonably priced. Additionally, no special tools are needed. Additionally, you can meditate wherever you are, including while taking a walk, taking the bus, waiting for a doctor, or even in the middle of a challenging business meeting.

The advantages of meditation are countless. You can learn to manage stress, improve self-awareness, focus on the present, lessen negative emotions, and gain new perspectives with just 10 minutes of daily meditation.

When we focus on our breathing, we are developing the ability to come back to the present moment, and stay there!

5. Pick up a book (i.e READ!)

As little as 15 minutes of reading will have huge benefits for someone just starting. Just make sure to choose a topic that interests you.

You can also use audiobooks, as long as you're paying attention to the words! This can make reading (listening haha) the book way easier and more fun.

Some of the benefits of reading regularly are:
- Good vocabulary.
- Reading makes you better at your studies.
- More concentration and focus.
- Less stress and anxiety.
- Reading widens your imagination.
- You will become a better writer.

6. Call a family member

Maybe you haven't called your parents this week, or maybe your siblings! Either way, make some time to catch up with them!
Sometimes 10 minutes of chatting can give you enough joy to last a whole week.

Your parents will always tell you the truth in a straightforward manner because they genuinely want the best for you. You can rely on your mother to gently remind you that the cheap top you recently purchased doesn't flatter your figure all that much. You can trust your father to recognize when a relationship is bringing out the worst in you. Your parents will always let you know when you're spending too much money or not paying enough attention to your budget. To get the truth about your life and your decisions, you should talk to your parents more frequently.

Your parents will always be proud of you. No matter how much you mess up or how many people you hurt, your parents will always be there for you and be overjoyed to hear from you. If the rest of the world isn't looking too friendly—or even if it is—call them.

7. Try a new recipe

OK, this one may take a bit longer, but I guarantee it'll be worth it.
Another exciting task that should be on your productivity list is learning a new recipe. Try out the meals you've seen on YouTube right away.

You can give something new a try and make your friends and family happy in the process! Find the best recipe online and decide which preparation method is best for you. If you want to make a pumpkin pie in the middle of summer, you may need to check to see if the ingredients are still available. There is no harm in dreaming, but you will have to eat canned foods.

8. Update your resume

Updating your resume is one of the most beneficial things you can do whenever you have free time at work. You should always be ready because you never know when an opportunity will knock on your door.

You have a chance to assess the knowledge, expertise, experiences, strengths, and weaknesses you've accumulated over time.

This may take some time, but it will give you valuable information about your career and the options you should consider. When there is a chance for internal advancement, this practice can be useful.

9. Go for a walk

Step outside and go on a walk. I always find that going for a walk helps me to focus and see issues differently.
Walking for at least 30 minutes a day has numerous powerful advantages for both physical and mental health, which almost seem too simple. Like Robert Frost's well-known walks in the woods, going for a daily stroll can help you decompress, elevate your mood, enhance the quality of your sleep, lower stress, and enhance your perception of yourself as a whole. Sincerely, what have you got to lose?

Walking is also a fantastic way to escape your routine. Try something new: leave your AirPods at home, explore a new part of your neighborhood or city, or listen to an audiobook or podcast about productivity.

10. Just ENJOY your free time

Anything that merely makes you feel good qualifies as this. Your private time is priceless! Use it sensibly. Think of "self-care" but without any strict limitations or negative judgments to hinder you.

Feeling good about yourself has a real value, regardless of whether you work from home or on-site, and it can influence your work ethic.

For women: Put on a hydrating face mask, paint your nails...
For men: Trim your beard, watch that football game...

You can drink a cup of coffee or tea on the patio, or, simply, just allow yourself to be bored for a moment. Allow yourself some time to stop and do nothing because boredom inspires creativity. Life can move pretty quickly. After this break, you can go back to your tasks feeling energized!
